In addition to this "donut" pendant being handmade in Tibet using turquoise and silver, there are two additional reasons why we find it appealing: one is that it has an old-world appearance to it, as though it belongs to another long-since-past century. The other is more design-oriented; its silver bail has been placed atop of the turquoise pendant, rather than having the chain or cord running through its center. The silver has been artfully etched on both sides, with a fairly generous bail opening, allowing use of a thicker rope chain.
