Native American Necklace- Santo Domingo 5-Strand Turquoise Heishi

This five-strand turquoise heishi (pronounced: hee-shee) necklace is by Santo Domingo Pueblo artist, Frank Ortiz,JR. The hue of the finely cut turquoise beads have a wonderfully delicate pale-blue / pale-green translucence about them. They possess a lovely quality about them which reminds me of the color thick and cavernous ice takes on, as seen in the crevasses at the Poles, or within glaciers. Finished with sterling silver cones, this necklace is soothing and quite beautiful.
