Hand-carved in the Great American Southwest, we have acquired a few very attractive pieces, using genuine gemstones, turquoise, coral and shell. They are eye-catching, fun to wear and quite lovely! Each jewelry piece is unique, having its own variations and character. They are made by craftsmen of the American southwest, but not necessarily of Native American Indian descent. Featured here are turtles made of pipestone with sky-blue turquoise shells. The uppermost turtles possess a more greenish turquoise shell, which sets sets them apart (slightly) from the others. The eyes are cavernous and have been colored blue. The necklace has been strung using fine turquoise heishi beads and finished with sterling silver cones and clasp.
