Native American Purple Spiney Slab Earrings w/ Turquoise Inlay B

A richly colorful set of earrings, these are Navajo Indian made using purple spiney oyster shell and an inlay of sky-blue turquoise as a base. The backs of these earrings are the reverse side of the spiney oyster shell, as naturally occurring. The turquoise has been cut into the front side, and inlaid. Finished with a sterling silver bead and French wire. Native American made by artist Louise Pete.
